3D is coming to DCA!

17 March 2011

We’re really excited to announce that DCA can now show films in 3D.

We’ve recently installed the equipment required to show select films in spectacular 3D and are one of the first cultural cinemas in Scotland to get this technology.

Using ‘active’ glasses rather than the disposable kind you might be used to (which means you'll need to return them at the end of the screening), the system ensures a high level of brightness and quality. Coming up in our programme are some films that prove how 3D can be used to make the film experience even more beautiful and engaging.

To celebrate the launch, you can see Cave of Forgotten Dreams in 3D for the same price as a regular film. That’s no additional cost until Thu 7 April 2011.

How will it work after Thu 7 April?

From Fri 8 April 2011, there will be an additional cost of £2 for all 3D films (including Cave of Forgotten Dreams).

This will be on top of the regular ticket prices. It will still be cheaper to see a 3D film at DCA than at any multiplex cinemas in Dundee!

The additional cost will not apply to Discovery Family Film Club screenings
