DCA, alongside Filmhouse (Edinburgh), and Glasgow Film Theatre, has been awarded the prestigious Europa Cinemas Award for Best Young Audience Activities. The winners were selected from 1057 cinemas for their collaborative work together as well as the individual projects run by each organisation.

DCA’s flagship event for young audiences is Discovery Film Festival, which has just had a record year, with more people attending screenings and events than ever before. Throughout the rest of the year DCA organises schools screenings and special events, as well as public screenings for young audiences as part of its Discovery Family Film Club.
