DCA plays host to two film festivals starting this weekend: we're screening six films by world-class directors for this year's edition of the Italian Film Festival, plus the 'Best of the Fest' from Sheffield Doc/Fest.

Our 2010 line-up for IFF includes Michele Placido’s Il grande sogno (The Big Dream), plus La battaglia d’Inghilterra (Eagles Over London), the over-the-top war movie that inspired Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds. We also revisit 60s cult classic La dolce vita, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. You can see all six IFF films for just £20 when you buy our IFF pass.

Sheffield Doc/Fest brings the international documentary family together to celebrate the art and business of documentary making. There's a feast for non-fiction filmmaking fans, with an odd couple in Junior, recipes for tension in Kings of Pastry and a revealing insight into Italian media in Videocracy.
