There's lots going on at DCA this weekend

20 January 2012

We've got a busy weekend coming up at DCA. Jane and Louise Wilson's much awaited exhibition opens on Saturday, featuring recent photographic and film works. Critically acclaimed author Tony White will read from a selection of his work on Sat at 14:00, including a specially commissioned short story that was inspired by the work in the exhibition.

New in the Cinema is Turner Prize-winning artist Steve McQueen’s second feature Shame, which reunites him with Hunger star Michael Fassbender for another uncompromising portrait of human struggle, this time with sex addiction. We've also got wonderful silent film The Artist for another week, and there's an Aardman Animations double-bill for younger audiences at Discovery Family Film Club. We recommend booking for this weekend's Live at the Met: The Enchanted Island as tickets are selling fast; join expert Andrew Roger for a pre-opera talk beforehand to get an insight into the performance.
