Learning for Groups

Bring your group along to DCA for tours, talks, workshops and long-term projects aimed at exploring and creatively engaging with our exhibitions, films and events. Each session is tailored to your group's needs.

If you’re looking for inspiration for things to do with your group – here are just a few of our recent projects:
The Whitfield Jolly Lovables have been producing print and film work exploring their experiences of living in Whitfield.
The Woodlea Children's Centre Craft Group is working on a project with craft maker, Sarah Keay.
We are also running Print Studio projects with START Dundee, NHS Trust and Craigmills Skillscentre, and are developing a project with Our Lady's Primary School and the Highwayman Youth and Community Centre.

We also run a variety of public workshops and drop-in days.

“It has changed the way I think about contemporary art - a great learning experience for myself and my son!”
Participant in DCA Active Family Session

To provide a relaxed, fun but informative route into aspects of the contemporary visual culture presented at DCA we run various workshop and drop in activities throughout the year. Our workshops are delivered by professional staff and practising artists/makers who have received the appropriate training and Disclosure checks. We plan activity to suit different age groups, individuals and family groups so the duration, content and requirement for adults to accompany children does vary.

Costs for tours / workshops vary but we keep as much as we can free of charge or as low as we can subsidise.

For details of age specific workshops held at weekends and during school holidays check the Course & Workshops and Talks & Events sections of this website.
