Intriguing and thought-provoking, Behind Closed Doors is an exhibition that seeks to challenge how we think about buildings through some outstanding works of contemporary art. It focuses on the meanings buildings develop as we inhabit them, the hidden stories they house, rather than their design or intended use. Using photography, collage, video and sculpture, the artists’ interests range from the political to the emotional, from reality to fantasy, but share an awareness of how buildings shape our world.
