Ponyo is a little goldfish who lives with her crazy father in an underwater castle and dreams of being a human girl. In this Japanese story inspired by Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid, we follow her adventures through the sea and onto land as she makes friends with a little boy, Sosuke. Lovers of The Little Mermaid, the sea, and fans of Miyazaki’s previous films will love this heartwarming, simple, but beautifully told story.
