10-year-old Chihiro and her family are moving house, and she isn’t happy. On their way to the new town, they stop off in a mysterious forest and Chihiro wanders off.

Suddently lost in a world of spirits and monsters, Chihiro makes friends with a boy named Haku. On his advice, she begins working for a witch called Yubaba, but when Yubaba gives her a new name ‘Sen’ she begins to feel that her true identity is slipping away, putting her in danger of being stuck in the spirit world forever. As she helps her friend Haku and strange spirits she meets on the way, she proves her ability to care for others - and this will eventually set her free.
