Cinema

Ever wondered what your cat gets up to when you’re not around? Mysterious black cat Dino leads a double life. By day he is a loyal tabby to Zoé, by night he joins the nocturnal adventures of Nico, an actual cat burglar, with a surprisingly big heart.

Zoé has not spoken a word since her dad was killed by gangster Victor Costa whilst on duty. Her police officer mum is on the case to track Costa down. One night Zoé follows Dino on his adventures with Nico and stumbles across Costa’s gang.

The chase is on as they slip across the rooftops of Paris to Notre Dame. Will they catch Costa? Will Nico continue his light-fingered ways? Will Zoé ever speak again? Charming and visually stunning, this warm and funny film nods to the stylised wit of the Pink Panther cartoons.

Audience Award Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival (Canada’s children’s film festival).
