Discovery Film Festival 2012 gets off to a flying start with a Halloween movie that’s suitable for all the family: a comedy about a boy who becomes a werewolf.

Shy little Alfie is horrified on his seventh birthday when he suddenly begins to grow sharp claws and white fuzzy hair. When he starts to howl at the full moon, he realises he is no longer a regular little boy – he is turning into a werewolf! Alfie tries to keep his secret hidden, but this becomes increasingly difficult when he starts chasing the chickens in his neighbour’s garden and attacking the school bully. Alfie just wants to get back to being ordinary, but a meeting with a mysterious, hairy stranger shows him that what makes each person different is also what makes them special.

Based on the popular series of books by Paul van Loon, this is a family film with real bite.
