Last year, Australian director Genevieve Bailey set off around the world to capture the lives of children aged 11 in their own words. She chose the age 11 as a critical time – “no longer children, not quite adults, preparing to inherit a world changing as quickly and dramatically as they are”. The interviewees present their opinions on a host of subjects, from love to climate change and religion. Their thoughts are at once both fascinatingly similar and reflective of the rich variety of their cultural backgrounds.

I Am Eleven is screening as a companion piece to the exhibitions which will run in DCA Galleries throughout the festival.
