Seventeen year-old Wan-deuk is finding life tough. Abandoned by his mother, he lives with his father and uncle in a run-down part of town. He struggles at school and lives next door to his teacher, who picks on him. Is it any wonder that Wan-deuk’s response to any challenging situation is to use his fists?

Things begin to change when Wan-deuk learns that his mother wants to meet him. His teacher’s motives for his attitude towards him become clear, and he begins to channel his aggression into learning kickboxing. Could this be the start of a new chapter? Or is he destined to stay at the bottom of the heap?
