The small society lab

6 June 2011 - 31 July 2011

VRC

The small society lab is a 'pop-up' research space, found in the VRC on Level 2 of DCA throughout June and July 2011. Through activities and events, the small society lab will explore and make use of community-based art, design and technology practice to support creative change in the city.

The project - a collaboration between DCA and the Product Design Research Studio at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design – hopes to spark outlets for creativity. It seeks new opportunities to improve public services, business opportunities and people’s lives through small changes to the community. Local residents and business are urged to get involved, to come along to the events and to make things happen!

The small society lab will be open weekdays from 10:00 until 16:00 with some projects taking place into the evening or at weekends.
