We host many fun activities for all ages at DCA, from film screenings and workshops, to free creative activities and online resources. To make it as easy as possible for you to plan your family trip, our monthly calendar brings everything together in one place.
This month enjoy festive family films on the big screen, penguin-themed activity sheets in Create Space, a Family Art Lab inspired by Lauren Gault's exhibition, Messy Play and more.
If you're coming along to DCA to enjoy some family activity, don't forget that you can extend your visit with lunch in Jute Café Bar (you can even colour in the kids menu) and a trip to our shop, which stocks some great toys, books and pocket money friendly games.

Workshops and events
Join us for our final family workshops of 2025. Explore our current exhibition and create artwork inspired by the work on show at Family Art Lab, have fun with sound and light at our Soundplay sessions, or make some mess at Messy Play. Tickets are all Donate What You Can (£0-£8).
You can also visit Create Space to try out activity sheets linked to Lauren Gault's exhibition or colour in some of our festive penguins, designed by local illustrator Kate Benzie. These are also available to download below.
In the cinema
Artist Lauren Gault has selected The Land Before Time as one of her Artist's Choice Screenings. Find it in our Discovery Family Film Club slot, followed by a Relaxed screening.
There's still time to catch Wicked: For Good this month and you can enjoy a festive favourite in the run up to Christmas.
