Family Activity at DCA

Find out what's on for families during June and download our Family Activity Calendar

We host many fun activities for families at DCA, from film screenings and workshops, to free creative activities for all ages and online resources. To make it as easy as possible for you to plan your family trip, our monthly calendar brings everything together in one place.

Visit Create Space throughout June to try activity sheets inspired by Sukaina Kubba's exhibition in DCA Galleries. You can check Create Space opening hours below as well as downloading some of these activities to try at home. If you'd rather create together in a more structured way, our Family Art Lab provides the perfect opportunity, with artist tutors on hand to guide you through a variety of activities. And Soundplay Projects are back with a drop-in where you can experiment with sound and light.

In the cinema, Discovery Family Film Club brings back the popular opening film from our 2015 festival: Paper Planes. We'll also have a Relaxed screening of this Aussie comedy-drama with consistent lighting and lower sound levels throughout. There's also a special screening of recent Discovery favourite Dounia and the Princess of Aleppo, coming up as part of Scottish Refugee Week.

If you're coming along to DCA to enjoy some family activity, don't forget that you can extend your visit with a look around our galleries (open Wed-Sun), lunch in Jute Café Bar (you can even colour in the kids menu) and a trip to our shop.

Download our Family Activity Calendar below, where you'll find dates and times for all of our events as well as the opening hours for Create Space. You can also scroll down to book for some of our highlights.
