Activity Sheets Inspired by Douglas Gordon
#DCAmakes
17 June 2022
DCA galleries are currently filled with the work of Scottish artist Douglas Gordon, including his major film installation k.364.
Inspired by the work on show, our Learning team have come up with some fun activities for you to try! Make your own friendship connections on a train, focus on eyes, and experiment with musical notes. Download the activity sheets below or visit Create Space while the exhibition is on to have a go.
If you try these at home, we'd love to see the results - share them with us on social media using #DCAmakes.
Friendship Connections
Draw yourself and a friend in our train carriage and share where you are travelling to and what you're talking about on the way.
Eye See You
Inspired by Douglas Gordon's Letters artwork (pictured above), take some time to study and draw your own eyes or someone elses.
Note Inspiration
Take inspiration from musical notes and use your imagination to turn them into an artwork. Colour them in, collage them or make them into different characters.
Exhibition photographs by Ruth Clark.
