AIR connect Residency Exchange Call Out

Between Cleveland, Ohio & Dundee, Scotland

11 January 2018

Cleveland Print Room and DCA Print Studio are now accepting applications for our next six week residency exchange program, AIR connect, to begin Spring 2018. The qualified artist should be an emerging or established artist with a focus in photography or a combined focus using photography with other mediums such as printmaking or painting. The work will focus on a special project in the Cleveland Print Room’s Northeast Ohio community darkroom and gallery, or with us at Dundee Contemporary Arts.

The Ohio artist will reside in Dundee during their stay and create work at DCA Print Studio. In exchange, the resident artist and DCA arrange a plan for the artist to exhibit locally and/or edition work on-site at their Print Studio. The artist will receive their airfare, free housing and full access to DCA Print Studio throughout the six weeks.

The artist from Scotland receives free airfare, housing in Cleveland, Ohio as well as full access to CPR’s facilities.

In exchange, AIRs engage the community through teaching, lecture, or demonstration and donate works created at CPR and DCA for archival purposes and exhibition. Additional funding may be available for travel costs.

This exchange program between Cleveland Print Room and Dundee Contemporary Arts is geared towards providing studio space to emerging and established artists and encourages understanding across cultures, creating ties between US artists and communities and their counterparts abroad.

DCA mission: DCA is an internationally renowned centre for contemporary arts that enables audiences, artists and participants to see, experience and create through our four programme areas: exhibitions, cinema, print and learning.
