Discovery Film Festival 2020 is here!

#DiscoveryFilmFest

15 October 2020

We're super excited that this year, families around the UK can enjoy Discovery Film Festival as we move online for 2020!

In this, our 17th year, Discovery Film Festival will be hosted online, making the best short films from around the world available to watch wherever you are in the UK.

Audiences in Dundee can still snap up tickets to see the premieres of our new short film collections Shorts for Wee Ones and Shorts for Middle Ones at our socially-distanced screenings from Sat 17 - Sun 25 October but there’s also the chance to rent the entire collection online to enjoy at home for a limited time, plus fantastic downloadable activity packs specially designed by DCA’s Learning Team and Art at the Start.

Shorts for Wee Ones is a selection suitable for ages 3+, starring a host of animated animal friends including an ice cream-loving sloth, a lynx that sneaks out of the forest for a night on the town, and a cat that wants to play draughts. Shorts for Middle Ones is perfect for anyone aged 8+, with nine witty animated tales that include monsters, sailors, witches and more.

Parents of young film fans can rent the collections for £4.99 from Sat 17 October until Sun 1 November 2020, helping to support DCA at this difficult time for independent cinema. Visit our Vimeo on Demand page to access. Need help with your rental? We've got you - see our FAQ here
