Discovery Film Festival 2020 Schools Programme

21 September 2020

We're delighted to announce our line-up for this year's Discovery Film Festival 2020 Schools Programme!

This year, our international film festival for young audiences looks a little different as it heads online for the first time. This change has come about due to the current restrictions but one benefit is that access to our 2020 programme will now be possible for schools across Scotland and the rest of the UK. So if you're a Discovery Film Festival regular or you're coming to the festival for the first time - welcome!

Each year we scour the planet for the best new films made for young audiences and present exciting collections of shorts and brand-new features with accompanying curriculum-linked resource packs. For 2020 we have a total of fifteen new short films catering for all ages, and some signposts to where you can now find some of our favourite feature films we presented in earlier editions of the festival. All the short films will be free to watch on our festival screening platform at any time between Saturday 17 October and Sunday 1 November. The features will all available to rent or purchase at minimal cost via Amazon Prime, with some having the option of BluRay/DVD too. Resource packs for pre- and post-screening activities for all the films are free to download from the Discovery website at any time.
