Games Developers Wanted for Drop in and Play at DCA!

15 June 2016

We’ve teamed up with Abertay University for another of our popular Drop in and Play gaming events on Sat 3 September from 13:00 – 16:00. We’re looking for a range of fantastic games to show, so read on if you think your work could fit the bill.

The event will take place during the final weekend of Small Wars & CD-ROMS; two exhibitions exploring the cultural impact of computer games.

Visitors can drop-in and be among the first to try a range of brand new games before they’re widely available, speak to the game designers and let them know what they think after trying out their work.

For the event, we’re looking for new and unreleased games made in Scotland, and in particular Dundee. Games must be a finished product or playable prototype, suitable for ages 10+. Applications from individuals, students and small companies are all welcomed: applicants will be expected to supply the computer or device needed to demonstrate their projects. This is a great opportunity for developers to gather feedback and see how audiences interact with their work, alongside benefiting from publicity for the event.

Developers interested in taking part should send an email with their name and/or company name, a short description of their game and links to any relevant resources to jessica.reid@dca.org.uk by midday on Fri 29 July.

Drop in and Play is a free DCA gaming event which was first held in November 2012 as part of NEoN Digital Arts Festival and Discovery Film Festival. This iteration of the event will take place on Sat 3 September from 13:00-16:00 at DCA, and is presented in partnership with Abertay University
