Get Creative in DCA Print Studio: April - June 2022

Spring is almost here and it brings with it a new programme of Get Creative courses in DCA Print Studio!

Try something new with our wide selection of one-day workshops, introductory classes and beginners courses, or expand your knowledge with new follow-on classes, including our brand new GoccoPro Screen Printing course. We're also excited to be bringing back Japanese Brush Calligraphy and Japanese Woodblock Printing for those who want to delve into the history and culture of Japanese printmaking. They're back
We're delighted to welcome Campbell Sandilands back to the studio to share his expertise on Japanese Brush Calligraphy and Japanese Woodblock Printing. We're also excited about the return of Introduction to Papermaking, a one-day workshop where you can create your own delicate and colourful papers. 

One-day Workshops
Try a new technique with a one-day workshop. There's plenty to choose from, including three different Introduction to Screen Printing dates, Argyrotype and Mezzotint classes in April and Cyanotype on Paper and Introduction to Lino Cutting in May.

Evening & Weekend
Delve deeper into a new skill with our longer courses. Spend your evenings Wood Engraving with Beth Robertson or at our Riso Printing (Beginners) course, or treat yourself to a weekend full of Signwriting with Brian Robertson. Reduction Lino Printing with Liz Myhill even has the choice of either an evening or a weekend course. 

Get Digital
Dive into the world of digital! From getting to grips with your digital camera in Get Off Auto and improving your images further with Introduction to Adobe Lightroom or Introduction to Adobe Photoshop to learning from others and sharing your knowledge in Photography Forum and adding a digital spin to screen-printing with ​MiScreen, there's plenty to choose from.

Take the next step
Those who have tried our Etching (Beginners) course can explore even more exciting techniques in our evening course: Etching (Intermediate). We also have a brand new course for anyone who wants try something new in screen-printing: GoccoPro Screen Printing will introduce you to the next generation of equipment from the Riso company. 

On completion of a Print Studio course or workshop, you'll be entitled to registration as a Print Studio Registered User. This means you'll be able to use the facilities to practise and develop your skills further! Find out more here.
