Get Creative in DCA Print Studio

November - December 2021

14 October 2021

It's been great to welcome people back to do courses and workshops in DCA Print Studio again over the last two months. We love seeing people trying different processes and learning new skills!

Our new programme of Get Creative classes takes us up to Christmas and includes some ways to add personal touches to your seasonal gifts. We're also bringing back some of our most popular classes for anyone who missed out in September and October, plus we've responded to your requests for more weekend courses. Take a look below at what we have coming up during November and December or download our Get Creative leaflet here.

Feeling festive
Get prepared for the 25th December with our festive favourite Merry Riso and learn how to create your own range of risograph cards or prints. We've also got two one-day Festive Printing workshops where you'll learn how to cut your own festive lino blocks and use them to decorate cards, gift labels and paper.

Evening classes
Light up the dark nights with creativity by signing up to one of our evening classes. We'll be Wood Engraving with Beth Robertson again, and there's another chance to try your hand at our newest course: MiScreen: Digital Desktop Screen Printing, plus our Introduction to Adobe Photoshop classes return to help you get to grips with this popular photo-editing software.

Weekend courses
Learn a new skill over a weekend with our selection of two-day courses. There's Bookbinding: Non-adhesive Techniques; where book conservator Emma Fraser will be teaching a range of techniques, Get Off Auto; a camera-based course where you can get to grips with settings and gain confidence shooting out and about, and Lino Printing with Liz Myhill; explore a variety of methods to produce colour prints.

One-day workshop
As ever, our Introduction to Screen Printing workshops have gone down really well so we've got two more dates coming up! Join us and learn how to create wonderfully colourful and graphic prints.

Again, class sizes are slightly smaller than usual, and we're asking participants to wear masks (unless exempt) while in the studio. There will also be plenty of hand sanatiser available and we have strict cleaning schedule in place.

We hope to see you soon!
