Make a Pop-Up Dreamscape

This week’s Monday Make is all about using your imagination to create a dreamscape...

This make was inspired by Patrick Staff’s 2019 exhibition The Prince of Homburg in DCA galleriesThe exhibition title comes from a play of the same name in which the key character is so exhausted with his life of war, politics and emotional ups and downs that he falls into a sleep walking state as a way of escaping.

We also used the pop-up dreamscape to create ideas for better worlds on different planets as part of Seized by the Left Hand, a group exhibition inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin's novel The Left Hand of Darkness. Here are some examples from Craigmills Skills Centre who visited the exhibition with our Learning team:
