Here's more on this week's new films from our Head of Cinema, Alice Black:

“If you’re already a fan of the classic Disney animation 101 Dalmatians, then the news that villainess Cruella de Vil was getting her own feature film makes perfect sense,” says Alice. “A character we all love to hate, who hasn’t wondered about her backstory? In the hands of I, Tonya director Craig Gillespie, this reimagining of the iconic Cruella is stylish and exuberant with plenty of fashion pedigree. Emma Stone and Emma Thompson are having an absolute ball, and the costumes alone are worth the price of admission!

“Also entering the race this week is the first feel-good film of the summer – Dream Horse – the story of a small Welsh community’s foray into the world of competitive racing. In the long line of great British films like Made in Dagenham or Calendar Girls, this is the perfect film to start our holidays.

“If you are looking for the darker side of the spectrum, the bold anthology Undergods is the one to bet on – screening both in the cinema and available to rent online with DCA at Home – this is atmospheric sci-fi with a definite edge.”

Whatever you see, we wish you a great cinema experience at DCA!
