Here's some more about our new films from DCA's Head of Cinema, Alice Black:

"Postponed after last year’s closure, the long-awaited sequel to the sleeper hit A Quiet Place is finally here," says Alice, "While it is true that in cinema history, successful sequels are still a rarity (The Godfather II or Paddington 2 come to mind), thankfully the dynamic John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have done it again with A Quiet Place Part II. This new psychological thriller featuring our intrepid family in jeopardy is just as nail-biting as the first. Even better, you can catch up on the original A Quiet Place with DCA at Home. Every rental goes to supporting your local independent cinema.

"If you want a film experience that unfolds at a gentler pace but is just as intriguing, please take a chance on First Cow.  Kelly Reichardt’s film was also a casualty of last year’s lockdown, where fresh from its Golden Bear nomination at the Berlin Film Festival, its release was also postponed because of the pandemic.  If you came to see Nomadland recently at DCA, this film is a superb companion piece.  Another excellent example of the American independent filmmaking tradition is a tale of friendship, resilience, and baking—an absolute gem.

Wishing you all a great cinema week!"
