Here's more about this week's films from DCA's Cinema Coordinator, Michael Coull:

"Doctor Strange returns this week, in a new super-sized sequel directed by Sam Raimi. Raimi indulges his horror roots, and takes the Marvel formula into darker, scarier territory. Early word is that there are some exciting cameos for Marvel fans too.

The Quiet Girl is an engrossing drama about a young girl coming to terms with loss in rural Ireland. Entirely in Irish Gaelic, and with a truly riveting central performance by 12-year-old Catherine Clinch, it’s a beautifully understated film.

Wild Men is a funny, sometimes violent trip through the Danish wilderness. Playing almost like a mid-life crisis Hunt for the Wilderpeople, it’s great fun, with a winning odd-couple relationship at its heart.

As a new stage version of Cabaret earns rave reviews, we’re screening Bob Fosse’s iconic 1972 film, re-issued for its 50th anniversary. The film won eight Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Liza Minnelli, and is a hugely entertaining cultural touchstone.

And if you can’t make it to the cinema, be sure to check out our film streaming website DCA at Home, packed with some of our favourite titles, handpicked for you!"
