New films from Friday 17 November

Nicolas Cage returns to screens this week at DCA Cinema with Dream Scenario, a surreal comedy from director Kristoffer Borgli (Sick of Myself). Cage enthrals as a hapless family man whose life is turned upside down when millions start seeing him in their dreams.

We also welcome Saltburn, which stars Barry Keoghan as an Oxford student who becomes embroiled in the lives of an eccentric upper-class family, and On the Adamant, a touching documentary about an unusual mental health facility. There’s also still time to see gripping psychological drama Anatomy of a Fall. 

Elsewhere, catch X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X broadcast Live from the Met, enjoy Powell & Pressburger’s A Canterbury Tale, and see Dame Maggie Smith in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. Finally, join us for Girl, a heartfelt drama about a mother and daughter trying to settle in Glasgow. We’re thrilled that writer/director Adura Onashile will be joining us for a Q&A after the screening.
