Spud Bud

18 May 2020

It's time for more Monday Makes fun! This week we're creating an artwork using recycled material, simple print making tecniques and a spud bud!

Created by our Learning and Print Studio Coordinator Scott Hudson, this make uses recycled materials and transforms them into a work of art. Scott uses a lot of recyced materials for workshops and projects at DCA. The Learning team always have a box of recycling, including old magazines, newspapers and packaging, ready!

Working in our Print Studio, Scott also does a lot of printmaking. For this make Scott shares some simple techniques that can be done at home, again making use of recycled materials as well as potatoes.

Scott takes you through the process in this fun step-by-step video:

You can also download our step-by-step guide here. We'd love to see your finished artwork - snap a photo and share with us using #DCAmakes

If you enjoy this activity and you're able to, we'd be so grateful if you'd consider donating to help us keep enriching people's lives through art, culture and creativity. Thank you!
