TV21 Showcase

A chance to see new video art works by 16-19 year olds from the Dundee area.

12 December 2014

You're invited to view the results of our TV21 project!

TV21 is a new initiative involving 16-19 year olds from the Dundee area who have created new video art works taking inspiration from the REWIND Artists' Video archive based at DJCAD, University of Dundee. This archive consists of some 450 early examples of UK artists' work from around 1970-1990, who were exploring video tape in innovative and experimental ways.

Introduced to the work through a series of workshops with artists, curators, archivists and education specialists, the group was given training covering practical filmmaking techniques as well as development of ideas and experimentation.

Join us on Wed 17 December (18:00) as we showcase the completed works by the young people, with introductions from the filmmakers themselves, whilst the group will also show works from the REWIND archive that have inspired them.

The project is jointly run between Duncan Of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (University of Dundee) and Dundee Contemporary Arts, funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council.
