Welcome back to DCA

We’re so glad to be opening our doors to visitors again. You’ll notice a few changes when you’re planning your visit and when you get here, all designed to keep you and our team safe.

Planning your visit

Please book in advance wherever possible: you can now book for exhibitions (tickets are free of charge). You’ll be sent an e-ticket for any activity that you book which you can show on your smartphone to reduce the need for printed tickets. If you don’t have a smartphone you can print your e-ticket instead, or our box office team will be happy to print a ticket for you when you get to DCA.

If you end up visiting DCA on the day without booking, you can still buy tickets at Box Office. Please use contactless payment, or pay by card, wherever possible. If you’d like to visit the Galleries please get your ticket from the desk outside Gallery 1.

If you are a registered user of our Print Studio and would like to book a session please contact the team at printstudio@dca.org.uk or on 01382 432 475 at least two days in advance.

If you are planning to visit Jute Café Bar, please book in advance at https://www.jutecafebar.co.uk/.

At DCA

Please wear a mask throughout your visit unless you’re exempt from doing so. You may take your mask off if you’re eating or drinking in Jute Café Bar.

You’ll find hand sanitiser available on your arrival to DCA and throughout the building. We have implemented new cleaning schedules, so you may see team members cleaning in parts of the building during your visit.

Toilets and baby changing

Our toilets are cleaned regularly. Please wear a face covering and maintain social distancing: to assist with this we have indicated with signage that some sinks and urinals should not be used.

Our baby changing area is open as usual, but we have removed the soft changing mat: please bring your own with you.

Ventilation

Our ventilation systems throughout the building have been checked in line with the latest advice and approved ahead of reopening.

NHS Test & Protect

We have updated our Privacy Policy to explain how we may share information with NHS Test and Protect if asked to do so. Your cooperation in agreeing to this would be much appreciated.

If you're visiting the Galleries, Create Space or Cinema we'll ask you to scan a QR code on your way in to log your details with Check-in Scotland: this is following updated guidance from the Scottish Government on collecting details for all visitors in a group, not just the lead contact. DCA does not store this information. More information about this is available here.

If you are arranging a visit to Jute Cafe Bar as part of your trip to DCA you will be asked to provide your details to them separately.

Refunds and exchanges

If you need to cancel or postpone your visit because of illness or self-isolation we’ll be very happy to offer you account credit at the value of your tickets, to use whenever you’re able to.

In the event that we have to cancel activity, a full refund will be available. We might offer you the choice of a refund, account credit or a donation. This information has been updated in our terms and conditions which you can find here.

Risk Assessments

You can read our Covid-19 Risk Assessment online here and read Jute Café Bar's Risk Assessment here.
