Bring a Baby: Bombshell

Jay Roach

The most chilling movie of the New Year won’t be a slasher or supernatural film and it won’t be fabricated from fiction. Bombshell, which is based on the real-life sexual harassment case that rocked Fox News, will be the movie that exposes humanity at its most corrupt.

"Exposes humanity at its most corrupt."

As chairman and CEO for the network, Roger Ailes was one of the most powerful and charismatic men in America, helping shape elections, promote wars, and push a conservative agenda into millions of households nationwide. He must have felt untouchable, but it only took a couple of weeks for his world to come crashing down. In 2016, more than two dozen women came forward and accused him of sexual harassment. In doing so, they exposed a misogynistic and corrupt culture at the network that extended beyond Ailes.

With a screenplay by Charles Randolph (The Big Short) and a high calibre ensemble cast including Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman as Fox News employees Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson and John Lithgow as Ailes, Bombshell is a gripping and revealing look inside one of the most powerful and controversial media empires of all time; and the explosive story of the women who brought down the infamous man who created it. Expect Oscar nominations all round...
