Craft Sunday online: Circular Weaving with Le Petit Moose

#CraftSunday

We’ve certainly missed our Craft Sundays this past year, so we’re delighted that we’ve been able to move them online! You’ll receive your materials in the post in advance and then join us on Zoom on the day – expect the same relaxed fun afternoon of making, expert tuition and we’ll also make sure to build in a coffee break (biscuits optional, though you know we thoroughly recommend them to fuel your making!)

In January, we’re delighted to welcome back Stephanie Fradette, the fibre artist behind the brand “Le Petit Moose” for an afternoon of this calming and accessible craft. Working with bold colours inspired by the ever-changing landscapes from her world travels, Stephanie creates woven, knotted and tufted contemporary wall hangings full of rich textures. Working with soft fibres in a selection of colours, Stephanie will guide you through the steps to create your own circular weaving.

Working on a round loom gives the freedom to experiment and play with a variety of fibres without worrying about tension, so this workshop is perfect for those with little or no weaving experience. You’ll get two choose from two-colour ways: either soft-pastels with a touch of mustard or marine life blues and neutrals (both pictured) and you’ll be provided with everything that you need to create your wall hanging alongside the online workshop.

You’ll receive an email with a few more details the day after you book your spot (including what to do if you’re purchasing this as a gift). Then two weeks before the class starts, you’ll receive another email confirming the dispatch of your materials and including the details of the Zoom.
