Craft Sunday online: Print and Stitch Wall Hangings with Paper Houses Design

#CraftSunday

  • Select a time to view seat availability

We’re delighted to bring you another online Craft Sunday workshop! You’ll receive materials in the post in advance and then join us on Zoom on the day for a relaxed fun afternoon of making, expert tuition and we’ll also make sure to build in a coffee break (biscuits optional, although you know we thoroughly recommend them to fuel your making!).

Textile designer Mhairi Allan, a big fan of stationary, triangles and the colour orange, runs Paper Houses Design – a lifestyle brand specialising in beautiful patterned objects for you and your home. Items include cushions, lampshades, silk scarves and wash bags, all ethically made, focused on sustainability and inspired by many things including man-made structures in the landscape that are often overlooked. Earlier this year, Mhairi added wall hangings to her collection, knowing the positive effect that art in the home has. Using simple print making and sewing techniques, join Mhairi to create your very own work of art to hang in your home.

We’ll provide the fabric hanging, ink, freezer paper, needle and thread. Additional items you’ll need are an iron, scissors /craft knife, and a hair dryer (optional).

You’ll receive an email with a few more details the day after you book your spot (including what to do if you’re purchasing this as a gift). Then the week commencing Mon 21 June, you’ll receive another email confirming the dispatch of your materials and including the details of the Zoom – please check you junk/spam folder for this. If you haven’t received these details by Thu 24 June, please email dca@dca.org.uk or call our box office on 01382 432 444.
