Artists' Film

We’ve teamed up with the Visual Research Centre, University of Dundee, and Arts Catalyst, to programme a day of artists’ film and discussions about nuclear technology and how art and artists can respond to it.

This programme of short films explores a range of nuclear themes: Susan Schuppli investigates the remote sensing of radioactive isotopes in Trace Evidence; Lise Autogena & Joshua Portway’s film Kuannersuit; Kvanefjeld explores the global politics of uranium mining and landrights in Greenland; Karen Kramer’s The Eye that Articulates Belongs on Land explores the post-Fukushima landscape; Nick Crowe & Ian Rawlinson’s film Courageous captures the body of a British nuclear submarine, whilst Andy Weir's Plureal Deal speculates on the deep time of the nuclear cycle and its waste products.

This screening will be followed by an afternoon roundtable discussion in the Visual Research Centre: to book for this part of the day and to see the full programme of events please visit the eventbrite registration page here.
