Alan Rankine was the mercurial guitarist who co-produced with Billy Mackenzie the early classic sound of one of Scotland's most seminal bands, The Associates. Alan will introduce a documentary The Glamour Chase alongside treating us to some almost impossible to find legendary performances by the band. With Dundee Rep Theatre producing a new play - Balgay Hill - with a soundtrack of Associates songs this is the perfect moment to reacquaint yourself with one of Scotland's living legends who now teaches at Stow College and has helped bring on the next wave of Scottish music talent including Belle and Sebastian.
