Baby Takeover

We mark Infant Mental Health Week and Scottish Breastfeeding Awareness Week with a day of activities

We're inviting babies (and their carers) to DCA to celebrate Scottish Breast Feeding Week and Infant Mental Health Awareness Week.

In partnership with Breast Buddies, NHS Infant Mental Health and NHS Feeding teams, we're filling Create Space, the Ground floor and Cinema 2 with activities, information and films.

Join us in Create Space for sensory stay and play, story time with Book Bug, and Baby Notes singing sessions. Tayside support organisations and activity providers will be set up on the Ground floor, sharing information about what they offer. And in Cinema 2, we've got a special session of our Shorts for Tinies.

This event is aimed at 0-3s and their families. Activities in Create Space and on the Ground floor are free and drop-in, with bookable tickets for Shorts for Tinies. Find out more below.

Infant Mental Health Awareness Week 2026

Infant mental health is an often overlooked and misunderstood subject. Infant Mental Health Awareness Week provides an annual opportunity to discuss the importance of supporting babies’ mental health and wellbeing. The Parent-Infant Foundation has set the theme and co-ordinated Infant Mental Health Awareness Week since 2017, during which time it has grown into a global event. This Infant Mental Health Awareness Week (8th–14th June 2026) will focus on the theme of ‘Attunement’.
