Pink Narcissus (4K Restoration)

Duration: 1h8m + recorded introduction
Dates: Sun 14 Jun 2026 20:15 - 21:45

We’re teaming up with Dundee Pride to bring you a season of films to celebrate Pride month. See three titles for £24 when you book them together – simply add the tickets to your basket and the offer will be applied at check-out.

The work of artist and photographer James Bidgood, Pink Narcissus  is a breathtaking and outrageous erotic visual poem focusing on the daydreams of a beautiful male sex worker who, from the seclusion of his ultra-kitsch apartment, conceives a series of interlinked narcissistic fantasies populated by matadors, dancing boys, slaves and leather-clad bikers.

With its highly charged hallucinogenic quality and its atmosphere of lush decadence, Pink Narcissus  is a landmark of gay and experimental cinema. The film has been restored by the UCLA Film & Television Archive from original 35mm materials.

This screening includes an 11m pre-recorded introduction about this new restoration from Todd Wiener, Motion Picture Curator at UCLA Film & Television Archive.
