Making Sense: Artwork Tour

Duration: 1h
Dates: Sat 1 Aug 2026
Location: Create Space

Use your senses to explore artworks.

Visual art exhibitions normally rely on the power of sight but how might we experience them using our other senses? Come along and find out at our relaxed and inspiring sensory sessions.

Join Jinyu ‘Eevee’ Han, a PhD student at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design who has been working with Dundee Sight Support & Social Hub, North East Sensory Services and our Learning team to create sensory interpretation for art exhibitions.

Try handling boxes and tactile artworks as an alternative way to explore the exhibition In the Forest Ruins by Adrián Balseca and experience audio descriptions of a range of artworks.

We will be visiting DCA Galleries - please be aware that that the exhibition in Gallery 2 contains artworks made with rubber and latex. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of staff at the beginning of your session.
