Join us to explore art, creativity and business. 

Hear two personal journeys from creatives Aoife Cawley and Jude Gove and together we will consider how culture and creativity impact everyday life, local businesses and Dundee’s future.  

Alongside the talks, there will be time to connect with others who care about Dundee, and the chance to discover how DCA can support your work and ideas, whether you’re growing your business, just starting out or connecting with new audiences in Dundee.  

Open to businesses, charities, creative practitioners, freelancers and anyone interested in creativity, culture and Dundee’s future.

Drinks will be provided by Brewgooder at this welcoming, relaxed and informal gathering.

Meet the speakers

Jude Gove

Jude Gove is a Scottish designer and maker creating handmade leather accessories from her home studio in Scotland. Originally trained in jewellery at Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, she later developed a passion for working with leather and wool felt. Each purse and bag is cut and stitched purely by hand, with emphasis on simple practical shapes, colour combinations and high-quality materials. She also works as part of DCA's Learning team and leads freelance classes within healthcare, teaching art to people with long term health conditions.

Aoife Cawley

Aoife Cawley is a visual artist from County Kildare. She graduated in 2024 with first- class honours in Contemporary Art Practice from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Scotland. She was awarded the John Kinross Scholarship by the Royal Scottish Academy and has undertaken residencies with Edinburgh Printmakers, The Hugo Burge Foundation, Limerick Printmakers, and Outer Spaces Scotland. Her  work is included in the permanent collections of the Royal Scottish Academy and  University of Dundee Museums.

Getting to Centrespace

Centrespace is located on floor -3 of DCA. To get there, head to Jute Café Bar and then follow the stairs down at the entrance to DCA Print Studio. There will be signs showing the way or our friendly staff will be happy to point you in the right direction. Centrespace can also be accessed via the lift by selecting floor -3.
