Print made using paper pulp

Paper Pulp Printing

Duration: One-day workshop
Dates: Sat 8 Nov 2025 10:30 - 17:00
Location: Print Studio

Learn to use coloured paper pulp to make prints from simple drawn or photographic stencils.

Make a stencil using screen printing techniques and then catch tiny amounts of paper pulp in the screen to produce an image. This can then be transferred onto a freshly made sheet of paper. The image then becomes part of the paper - no inks or paint needed.

Need to know

  • What to bring

Bring along some images for exposing onto screens. High contrast images work best but they can be adjusted during class.

  • What to wear

We'll provide aprons and gloves but recommend wearing old clothes as printmaking can be messy. Please note that open-toed footwear and sandals are not allowed.

  • Food & drinks

A sealed water flask or drinking vessel is permitted but other food and drinks are not allowed in the studio.
