Discovery Family Film Club: Phantom Boy

Léo, an 11-year-old boy with a serious illness has a secret. He can transform into a phantom boy, able to leave his body and fly and pass through walls like a phantom, invisible to all. While in the hospital, he befriends Alex, a New York policeman, injured while attempting to capture a supervillain who is causing chaos across the city. Using Leo’s phantom powers, Alex’s detective work, and intrepid journalist Marie’s help on the ground they will work together to try and save New York from destruction.

A beautiful hand-drawn animation inspired by comic book superheroes, Phantom Boy is an engaging animated fantasy adventure from the Academy Award nominated directors of A Cat in Paris (Discovery Film Festival 2011) and Nina and the Hedgehog’s Secret (Discovery Film Festival 2024).
