Discovery Family Film Club: Shorts for Families (2024)

Colourful, imaginative, intriguing, amusing and moving – a collection of short films for those aged 8+. 

Hailing from France, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico and the UK, these films present an eclectic mix of stories and styles - ranging from watercolour, cut outs, stop-motion, hand-drawn and 2D computer animation.

There are stories of water dancing through the world; of little girls whose imaginations take them to fantastic places; of children forging connections with animals; and of self-discovery on a summer camping trip.

Nearly all the films in this collection are dialogue free, with one in French and another featuring a brief line of poetry in Spanish.

Best suited for ages 8+ in order to read subtitles.
