Inspired by real events, it's the story of legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart (Ethan Hawke), facing the future as his life unravels following a professional split from his writing partner Richard Rodgers (Andrew Scott).

Set during almost entirely during the opening night for Rodgers' show Oklahoma!, the film follows Hart as he comes to terms with a world that no longer values his talent, and his unrequited love for glamorous Yale student Elizabeth Weiland (Margaret Qualley).

A tender, witty and heartbreaking portrait of a complicated Broadway legend, Blue Moon is tipped for glory this awards season.
