Net-Zero Press: Workshop
Duration: 6h30m
Dates: Tue 21 Oct 2025 10:30 - 16:00
Location: Meeting Room
Join Net-Zero Press for a workshop sharing stories from the print room floor.
Across the day, eight printmakers will tell the story of one material they use, tracking its lifespan from acquisition through consumption and disposal. Materials covered will include madder root, juice cartons, origami screenprints, squid ink and algae. There will be opportunities for discussion throughout the workshop and the chance to take a tour of DCA Print Studio.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
About

Net-Zero Press
The Net-Zero Press Project is an initiative of the School of Art History, University of St Andrews, exploring innovative approaches to environmental responsibility in the arts. The project works with community stakeholders, educators, and practitioners across the printmaking landscape of Scotland to trace waste flows in print shops and to act on these data to propose strategies for making studio spaces more sustainable.
