Discovery Shorts for Wee Ones 2025

Duration: 45m
Dates: Sat 25 Oct 2025 11:30 - 12:15

These fun-filled short films are recommended for children aged 3+

Always a popular feature of Discovery Film Festival, this collection of seven short films for our youngest viewers is sure to delight and amuse. We’ve gathered a variety of stories and styles from around the world – this year featuring films from Belgium, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Canada, Uruguay and Switzerland.

Featuring curious capybaras, chef mushrooms, colourful body cells, woodland animals, an affectionate (and very hungry) crocodile, a voiceless cockerel, and a little girl who communicates through drawings; the films in this programme focus on friendship, cooperation and understanding.

All these short films are dialogue free or in English. These magical tales will delight children age 3 and up, and are a colourful introduction to the cinema experience.
