Shorts for Middle Ones – Schools Screening
Discovery Film Festival school booking enquiries open on Mon 24 August.
This collection of short films from Romania, Czech Republic, Belgium, Hungary, Italy and the UK present stories that are perfectly suited for learners aged 7 and above.
Using a wide range of animation techniques, these films explore the importance of imagination and learning from each other, and how friendship and collaboration help us through challenges.
On the first day of winter, two little stoats must learn to adapt to their new surroundings; a lonely mythical boy whose head shines like the sun, struggles to make friends in the clouds but when he falls down to Earth, everything changes; two little emergency workers from a strange planet go on an emergency mission to save one of their friends who has been crushed by debris falling from the sky; a small prehistoric amphibian goes on a journey with the goal of finding its mate; a sand creature and a baby sea turtle meet by a sudden turn of events; a bored boy leaves his bed-building task for a magical mushroom realm of endless possibilities, away from his father’s supervision.
All these short films are dialogue free.
