Person screen printing on a power-assited screen printing table

Screen Printing (Intermediate)

Duration: Four-week evening class
Dates: Wed 4 Sep 18:00 - Wed 25 Sep 2024 20:30
Location: Print Studio

Develop your skills using photographic techniques and power-assisted screen printing tables.

This course covers all aspects of how to construct a screenprint using images from photo stencils. You will first be shown examples of limited edition prints that were produced in DCA Print Studio. These examples demonstrate the range of markmaking and types of images that can be used in screen printing. Also in the first week you will try basic drawing and block-printing techniques which can be used in your designs.

The following three weeks will include in-depth demonstrations for using the studio equipment to coat, expose, develop and print a screen.

This course requires previous experience of screen printing at a beginner’s level.

Great class! Lots of fun and very educational. Really loved this class.

Feel super prepared to come in and work on stuff myself and how to prepare artwork appropriately and really gotten to grips with process.
