Booger (Scottish Premiere) + short film

Writer/director Mary Dauterman’s debut feature is a bold, fresh and innovative film which irreverently plays with the conventions of horror.
After the death of her best friend Izzy, Anna (a brilliant, fearless Grace Glowicki) focuses all her attention on Booger, the stray cat which she and Izzy took in. When Booger bites her, she begins to undergo a strange transformation.
The hip New York indie vibes give a nice contrast to the Cronenbergian body-horror at play – think Broad City meets The Fly and you’re halfway there. At once hilarious, gross and, most audaciously of all, a genuinely moving portrait of grief, Booger feels like the announcement of an exciting new voice in the genre.
Booger will screen with the short film In the Flesh, in which old memories, exploding pipes and black goo cause Tracey some problems.
