Friendship
This film contains a sequence of flashing lights which might affect customers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
Tim Robinson, whose Netflix show I Think You Should Leave became a cult hit, stars as Craig, a lonely, odd man who yearns to be friends with his affable new neighbour Austin, played with the easy-going charm we’ve come to expect from Paul Rudd.
While we’re wary of giving too much away, what starts as an awkward friendship soon gives way to a sort of nightmare as tensions between the two men fray.
Robinson uses his distinctive screen presence to maximum effect, combining a piercing exploration of male friendship with laugh-out-loud dark comedy. Already a hit with cinema-goers across the United States (where it was picked up for distribution by A24), we can’t wait to share Friendship with audiences here in Dundee.
