Baz Luhrmann's dazzling and unconventional adaptation of Shakespeare's classic love story returns to our screens to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes portray Romeo and Juliet, the youthful star-crossed lovers, with the setting moved from its Elizabethan origins to the urban backdrop of Verona Beach. The brilliant supporting cast includes John Leguizamo as Tybalt, Paul Rudd as Paris, and Miriam Margoyles as Juliet's Nurse.

A huge hit on its release in 1996, Romeo + Juliet is also worth revisiting for its iconic soundtrack, featuring songs from Radiohead, The Cardigans, Kym Mazelle and more alongside an original score from Craig Armstrong.
